Lambeth Palace

We were approached by Richard Griffiths Architects, London, to design and install 26 picture lights to illuminate
former Archbishops of Canterbury paintings.

The arm protrusions and shape are none standard and were designed to suit this installation only

The paintings were very large and were hung in long hallways - Thier brief was to have no reflections on the
canvas when viewing each painting and to see no bulbs from any point along the hallways

Filters were added into our lights to achieve the desired colour temperature of 2500K
Most of the paintings are between 5 to 7 feet in height
Each light was individually made to suit each painting

John Singer Sargent - 1910
Randall Thomas Davidson, 1st Baron Davidson of Lambeth, KCVO (April 7, 1848 – May 25, 1930) was an
Anglican clergyman of Scottish origin who served as Archbishop of Canterbury from 1903 to 1928.

Our ThinWire was used and ran through the chains and are virtually invisible improving the overall effect

Our LEDs emit Zero heat and UV and with a bulb life of up to 10 years will keep maintenance to a minimum
with much reduced power usage

If you have similar sized art works or any size of art that requires illumination go to our

Bespoke page in the left hand menu and we will design a light to suit your Fine Art
